All about Sophie Shine- Shikhar Dhawan’s girlfriend and rumored bride-to-be

Shikhar Dhawan, a former batter for the Indian cricket team, is scheduled to wed Sophie Shine, his long-term partner, in a sumptuous ceremony in New Delhi.  

The wedding ceremony would be held in the Delhi-NCR area during the third week of February, according to a report by HT City. Although the couple had supposedly known each other for a long time, their relationship gained attention when they were seen together in the stands during the 2025 Champions Trophy.  

They reportedly became pals after meeting in Dubai a few years ago. According to reports, the pair has been living together for more than a year.

Before Sophie, Shikhar Dhawan was married to Ayesha Mukherjee, with whom he has a son, 11-year-old Zoravar Dhawan. The couple divorced in 2023.

Who is Sophie Shine?

Sophie Shine was born in 1990 and is an Irish national.

Sophie graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology with a degree in management and marketing. She then worked as a product consultant. After earning her degree from Castleroy College in Ireland, she worked until March 2025 as the second vice president of Northern Trust Corporation, an Abu Dhabi-based financial services company.

At the moment, she serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the philanthropic division of his company, Da One Sports, called the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation.

Sophie is active on social media, sharing details of her trips, work life, and personal moments on her Instagram account.

With nearly 341,000 Instagram followers, Sophie has been sharing images and videos of herself and Shikhar for some time. Although she was frequently seen watching cricket matches with Dhawan, the former India opening batsman, it wasn't until the southpaw himself revealed their relationship status that it became official.

Sophie Shine and Shikhar Dhawan first connected at a Dubai restaurant a number of years ago. Sophie observed his expressive eyes and instant connection at their first meeting, while Dhawan has said he was taken aback by her appearance. In May 2025, Sophie shared a picture of them together, and Dhawan responded with kind postings, one of which was for her birthday in June. They have appeared together at cricket events, including IPL matches and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai.
