All you need to know about Sophie Shine - Shikhar Dhawan’s new wife

Shikhar Dhawan, former India cricketer, got married to his partner Sophie Shine, his long-term partner, in a sumptuous ceremony in New Delhi. The ceremony happened on February 21, 2026 in Delhi.

Several cricket players and their family attended Shikhar and Sophie's little wedding in Delhi-NCR following their divorce from ex-wife Aesha Mukherjee. Fans love their traveling atmosphere, which includes entertaining Instagram videos and Dubai meetings. 

According to accounts, Shikhar and Sophie met in Dubai and dated discreetly for years until their friendship blossomed into passion. When Sophie was spotted in the stands with Shikhar at the 2025 Champions Trophy, rumors that they were dating reached their zenith.

In front of close friends and family, the couple announced their engagement on January 12 and were married on February 21. After years of personal hardship, Shikhar now appears to be in a brighter stage of life.  

Shikhar had a son named Zoravar with Aesha Mukherji, whom he had previously married for eleven years. However, the court acknowledged mental suffering as the reason for their divorce in 2023.

Who is Sophie Shine? Shikhar Dhawan’s Irish wife

Irish national Sophie Shine was born in 1990. She earned a degree in management and marketing from Limerick Institute of Technology. After that, she was employed as a product consultant. She graduated from Castleroy College in Ireland and served as the second vice president of Northern Trust Corporation, a financial services firm based in Abu Dhabi, until March 2025.

She is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, the charitable arm of his business, Da One Sports. 

Sophie has been posting pictures and videos of herself and Shikhar on Instagram for a while now, and she has around 341,000 followers.

Shikhar's estimated net worth is between INR 125 and INR 155 crore, according to publications from GQ and TOI.
