Former Pakistan skipper and star batter Babar Azam is currently through a horrific run of form in Test cricket. He is also struggling with the bat in the ongoing three-match Test series against Australia in Australia. He has scored just 36 in the three innings so far as the second Test is underway between Pakistan and Australia.

Meanwhile, the young Pakistan pacer Shahnawaz Dahani came up with a post on his official X handle (formerly Twitter); in this post, Dahani extended his support for former skipper Babar Azam during the tough time in batting form for the latter in the longest format of the Test cricket.

“The backbone of the Pakistani batting lineup is Babar Azam Not scoring centuries in the last few innings will not put him down. During this time we need to back him so that he can bring more victories & records for Pakistan in future, go well skipper,” wrote Shahnawaz Dahani in a recent post from his official X account.

However, Dahani’s post in Babar’s support attracted a lot of opposite reactions from the cricket fans as they didn’t agree with the former’s opinion in Babar’s support. It is also because it’s been a long time since Babar Azam was completely out of form in Test cricket. He has scored just 177 runs in the last 9 innings with a very poor average of 19.67 since his last Test century in the Karachi Test against New Zealand last year during a home series.

Speaking of the ongoing second Test of the ongoing three-match series between Australia and Pakistan at the MCG in Melbourne. The visitors are currently in a very crumbling position after the end of the second day’s game at the MCG as they lost 6 wickets at the score of 194 runs in reply to Australia’s first-innings total of 318 runs, while still trailing by 124 runs.
