After the pacer believed he had trapped the South African skipper in front of the stumps on Friday, November 14, Day 1 of the Kolkata Test, Jasprit Bumrah's conversation with Rishabh Pant on Temba Bavuma's height went viral.

Bumrah had a great start to the morning, dismissing both South African openers. In the thirteenth over, Rishabh Pant caught Aiden Markram behind, while Ryan Rickelton was bowled by a magnificent delivery. With each ball he bowled, Bumrah appeared menacing.

Then Bumrah called Rishabh Pant a "bauna" and talked to him about the height at which the ball struck the batter.

During this moment, the stump mic picked up Bumrah saying, “Bauna bhi hai b*****,” which many fans considered a taunt about Bavuma’s height.

Everyone's attention has been drawn to this occurrence, which is rapidly gaining popularity online, but for the wrong reasons. The remark has drawn criticism from many fans who see it as a mockery of Bavuma's height. This brings up an important question: may Jasprit Bumrah be held accountable under ICC regulations for this remark or taunt?

In order to prevent discrimination in international cricket, the ICC's Anti-Discrimination Policy mandates that members handle complaints, encourage diversity, and enforce measures to preserve the spirit of the game.

These policies state that its aim is to “maintain the public image, popularity and integrity of cricket” and that “No Inappropriate Conduct is to be tolerated, whether at International Matches… or at any other times.”
