The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the prize money of INR 21 Crore for the Indian players and support staff after their five-wicket win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 grand finale, on Sunday, September 28, in Dubai.
The BCCI X handle was quick to tweet about the prize money as soon as India defeated their arch-rivals by five wickets in the title clash. However, the Indian cricket board didn’t reveal the breakdown of the prize money.
"Three blows. 0 response. Asia Cup Champions. Message delivered. (Rs) 21 crores prize money for the team and support staff," the BCCI tweeted.

Furthermore, the BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, vice president Rajeev Shukla and ICC Chairman Jaydev Shah also reacted to India’s exceptional win over their arch–rivals.
"It was (an) extraordinary victory and therefore as a part of celebrations, BCCI has announced a cash award of Rs 21 crore in favour of the players and the support staff who are part of the Indian team in the Asia Cup," BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told PTI.
"That money will be distributed and this is a big reward for our team and the Indian cricket board as well as the people of India. We are extremely proud of our cricketers and the support staff for their superb performance in Dubai," Saikia added.
"The undefeated champions of ASIA. Congratulations Team India on a dominating win and 3-0 against Pak. Marvellous display by Tilak Verma and @imkuldeep18. A great show under pressure," posted Board vice president Rajeev Shukla.

Delving into the details of the game, Pakistan, after losing the toss, started off well, but they managed to post only 146 runs in 19.1 overs. Opening batters Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) were the top batters for Pakistan, while star spinner Kuldeep Yadav was the exceptional player for India with a four-wicket haul.
In the chase, India were in real trouble after losing three wickets for 20 runs. However, Sanju Samson (24), Shivam Dube (33) and Tilak Varma (69*) took their side over the line with a five-wicket win and two balls to spare.
“Congratulations to #TeamIndia on lifting the Asia Cup 2025! A proud moment for Indian cricket as Team India showcases excellence, consistency, and character on the biggest stage. Kudos to the players and support staff for a stellar campaign. #INDvPAK,” the ICC chairman Jay Shah tweeted.
