On Wednesday, October 15, the Star Sports Network unveiled the full list of commentators for the forthcoming three-match ODI series and five-match T20I series against Australia Down Under, starting on Sunday, October 19.
Notably, Star has unveiled the commentators for five different languages. The interesting talking point is the former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan’s comeback to the commentary set-up after being sacked from the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Though he was part of the Sony Sports Network commentary set-up for the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025 campaign, he makes a comeback in the Star Sports Network set-up after missing out on the England tour.
English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada are the five languages for which commentators have been announced by the Sony Sports Network and JioHotstar. While the first ODI starts on Sunday, October 19, in Perth, the second ODI will be played at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, October 23. The third and final ODI will be played at SCG in Sydney on Saturday, October 25.
After the conclusion of the ODI series, the action shifts to the five-match T20I series, starting on Wednesday, October 29.
