BCCI announces India T20I and ODI squads for England tour

On Thursday, May 15, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming Indian Women’s white ball tour of England, starting on June 28, Saturday.

Shafali Verma and Sneh Rana have earned their T20I recalls with Harmanpreet Kaur set to lead the side across both formats. Pacer Renuka Singh and off-spinner Shreyanka Patil have been excluded, with no explanations found for their exclusions.

Shafali’s return to the T20I set-up was mainly because of her impressive campaign in the WPL 2025, scoring 304 runs at a strike rate of 152.76, propelling the Delhi Capitals to the third consecutive WPL Final.

Sayali Satghare makes it to both the ODI and T20I squads, while Kranti Gaud replaces Kashvee Gautam, with Sayali being the other new inclusion. Meanwhile, the T20I squad will witness the returns of Yastika Bhatia and Harleen Deol to the setup. On the other hand, Uma Chetry has been axed.

The England tour starts with a five-match T20I series, starting on Saturday, June 28 and concluding on July 12, Saturday. Later, both teams will play a three-match ODI series from July 16, Wednesday, to July 22, Tuesday.
