Star Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was recently in the headlines of both social and mainstream media after getting omitted from the Indian squad for the ongoing T20I series against Australia. Notably, just within a few days after the conclusion of ODI World Cup 2023, the Indian selectors led by Ajit Agarkar announced India’s squad for the five-match T20I series against Australia.
The cricket fans and experts were divided into different opinions as the selectors ignored Yuzvendra Chahal once again from the Indian squad.
Now, Chahal himself came up with a cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter), which was taken by fans in connection to his omission from the squad; subsequently, the fans came up with a lot of different reactions in the comment section of Chahal’s post.
“To hold it together when everyone else thinks otherwise, that’s the true strength of a warrior,” wrote Chahal in his post captioning it as, “See you at Work.”

The fans are also questioning the intent of selectors behind ignoring the 33-year-old star leg spinner as he is currently the leading wicket-taker of India in the shortest format of the game. He has picked 96 wickets in 79 innings of the 80 matches, he played for India, with his best performance of 6/25, including 2 four-wicket hauls and 1 five-wicket haul.
Apart from him, the second leading wicket-taker Bhuvneshwar Kumar (90 wickets) is also not in the T20I plans of the Indian selectors which seems quite awkward for the cricket fans; it is also noteworthy as Bhuvneshwar produced some brilliant performances in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023.
Coming back to Chahal, he has faced a lot of omissions from the Indian squad in the recent past, including the ODI World Cup 2023; he was picked in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 but the team management didn’t give him a chance to play even a single match.
Here’s how fans reacted to the X-Post from Yuzvendra Chahal:
