Yashasvi Jaiswal

Rajasthan Royals retained a total of six players before going into the IPL 2025 Auction. They decided to retain Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimon Hetmyer, and Sandeep Sharma. They came in the IPL 2025 Auction with the smallest purse and managed to buy a total of 14 players.

The team went into the auction to fill their squad with bowlers, as they had retained five batters. They managed to pick the likes of Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Kwena Maphaka.

Tushar Deshpande was one of the most expensive Indian pacers that the team bought. RR spent INR 6.5 crore on him. Akash Madhwal was another Indian pacer the team managed to get for a price of INR 1.2 crore.

Here are the three RR players to watch out for in the Champions Trophy 2025:

1. Jofra Archer

Archer played for the Royals from 2018 to 2020 seasons and featured in a total of 35 matches. He took 46 wickets at an average of 21.32, an economy of 7.13, and a strike rate of 17.93. Archer made his ODI debut back in 2019 and has played a total of 28 matches so far.

He has picked 48 wickets for the English team at an average of 25.41, an economy of 5.02, and a strike rate of 30.3. Archer was the only player for whom RR spent more than INR 10 crore in the IPL 2025 Auction.

2. Fazalhaq Farooqi

Farooqi made his IPL debut in 2022 with Sunrisers Hyderabad and has taken six wickets in seven games so far at an average of 37.83. Farooqi has played 39 ODI matches for Afghanistan since making his debut in 2022.

He has taken a total of 50 wickets in ODIs at an average of 31.78, an economy of 5.77, and a strike rate of 33. He would be an important part of Afghanistan’s pace unit in the upcoming Champions Trophy.

3. Yashasvi Jaiswal

Jaiswal is the fifth-highest run-scorer for the Royals and has made 1607 runs in 53 matches at an average of 32.14 and a strike rate of 150.60. RR retained Jaiswal for a price of INR 18 crore before heading into the IPL 2025 Auction.

Jaiswal made his ODI debut during the first ODI match against England. He has featured in a total of 43 matches for India across formats and has made 2536 runs at an average of 46.1
