The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has seen several outstanding performers over the years, with each season producing a Player of the Tournament who made a significant impact on their team’s success. From the league’s inception in 2013 through to the most recent 2025 edition, these players have consistently stood out with remarkable skill and match-winning performances.

In the league’s inaugural season in 2013, Jamaican pacer Krishmar Santokie emerged as the top performer. He picked up 16 wickets at a superb average of around 13.6, with a miserly economy rate of 6.22. His ability to strike early in the innings and contain runs at the death made him invaluable.

The 2014 season saw Lendl Simmons dominate with the bat, as he amassed 446 runs in 11 innings at an average of nearly 50 and a strike rate of close to 129. His four half-centuries that season provided consistent starts and stability to his side.

In 2015, it was star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo who took centre stage, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 28 wickets, while also contributing crucial runs lower down the order. His leadership and versatility made him a clear choice for the award.

Andre Russell grabbed the spotlight in 2016 with his explosive all-round performance. He scored 286 runs at a phenomenal strike rate of 172.28 and also picked up 11 wickets. His century in the eliminator proved just how impactful he could be under pressure.

The other notable winners in the subsequent seasons include Chadwick Walton (2017), Colin Munro (2018), and Hayden Walsh Jr. (2019), the latter being particularly effective with his leg-spin. Kieron Pollard was awarded the top honour in 2020 for his finishing abilities and leadership. Roston Chase (2021), Brandon King (2022), Shai Hope (2023), and Noor Ahmad (2024) also left a lasting impact in the following editions.

In 2025, Pollard reclaimed the Player of the Tournament title with a standout campaign for the eventual winners Trinbago Knight Riders, smashing 383 runs in 13 matches at a blistering strike rate of 174.09.
