In what seems to be a big blow for the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the Women’s Premier League 2024, England skipper Heather Knight pulled out of the tournament. However, the reason behind Knight pulling out from the tournament hasn’t been cleared and specified by both the franchise and the cricketer as well.

On the other side, the England players might also have to go through a conundrum to decide between their commitments for the national team, alongside the WPL franchises. It is because the England Women’s Cricket Team is set to take on New Zealand in the upcoming five-match T20I series around the ending stages of the tournament.

The 2024 edition of the Women’s Premier League is set to commence on February 23, 2024, and the final is scheduled to be played on March 17, 2024; the date of the WPL final is also clashing with the first T20I of the five-match series between England women and New Zealand women.

The Board has reportedly informed the players that if they will be in India till the end of the franchise tournament then their name will be out of consideration from the England squad for the first three T20Is of the five-match series against New Zealand.
