Former Indian cricketer Madan Lal has slammed the former Pakistani batter Mohammad Yousuf for his choice of words on the Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav after India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets on Sunday, September 14, in Dubai.

For the unversed, Yousuf referred to the Indian T20I captain as a ‘pig’ during a discussion on a Pakistani TV Channel. Though the anchor tried correcting the former cricketer, he went on to have harsh words on the Indian team and the captain.

"India are unable to get out of their filmy world. India should be ashamed of the way they are trying to win, using umpires, torturing [Pakistan] through the match referee," said Yousuf on Samaa TV.

Speaking exclusively to India Today, Madan Lal has come up with the right choice of words to slam Yousuf, stating that such people are uneducated, adding that a cricketer who has played at the highest level can’t abuse a cricketer like that.

"See, that shows the character of the Pakistani people. How can you abuse someone? They only know these sorts of things. Abusing someone is totally wrong. How can a cricketer who has played at the highest level abuse anyone? That is utter stupidity," said Madan Lal.

"They are not educated people. That's why they do such things. This didn't happen during our playing days. I understand sledging and all, but abusing someone on live television is not the right thing to do. That's what Pakistan is all about. That is why their cricket is suffering. They are frustrated people because they are losing a lot to India," he added.

Notably, the Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, decided not to shake hands after their game against Pakistan, which didn’t go down well with many former Pakistani cricketers as they vent their frustration on live TV on social media platforms.
