Former Indian batter Robin Uthappa has slammed “Mr Fix-It” and wants him to be exposed in front of the Indian fans for eyeing to be an interim captain of the Indian cricket team amid the ruckus and unrest in the dressing room.

According to the reports published in The Indian Express, a senior player, who called himself as ‘Mr Fix-It’ wanted to take over Indian captaincy and was convinced that young players are not ready to take over leadership roles.

"With Rohit missing the 1st Test at Perth, there were some players, all eyeing the captain’s spot, who were claiming openly that they would have to do something special on the tour. The aforementioned senior member who harbours a desire to be the interim captain, is actively portraying himself as ‘Mr Fix-It’ and it has been learnt that he isn’t convinced that the young guns are ready to take over leadership roles," the Indian Express report read.

“This has to stop” - Robin Uthappa lashes out

Robin Uthappa lashed out at the so-called “Mr Fix-It” for his selfish approach during the most important Border Gavaskar Trophy when everyone needs to be united as a team.

"Whoever this person is, whether it's a senior, not a senior, it does not matter, has to be named and shamed. This has to stop. This level of childishness and personal agenda being driven forward at a time when the team needs more unity has to stop," Uthappa posted a video on his Instagram handle.

It’s worth noting that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have captained the Indian team in Test cricket. Also, there were questions on Rohit Sharma’s T20 captaincy being passed to Suryakumar Yadav instead of Hardik Pandya.

The dressing room unrest went viral on the internet after India’s 184-run defeat in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.
