The veteran batter and New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has picked Virat Kohli as his favourite cricketer among the active players. Kane picked his favourite cricketer during a conversation on Star Sports. Apart from this, one of the modern-day greats, Kane Williamson also spoke about his idol in cricket.

Meanwhile, just after Kane Williamson picked Virat Kohli as his favourite cricketer, the fans also came up with a lot of praising and heartfelt reactions for the New Zealand veteran.

Talking about the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, Virat Kohli is currently the third leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 543 runs in 8 innings of the 8 matches, he played so far for India in the tournament, having an outstanding average of 108.30, including 2 centuries and 4 half-centuries.

Now, he is just a century behind Sachin Tendulkar from breaking his record and becoming the batter with the most ODI centuries in the history of ODI cricket.

Now, Kohli will be in action for Team India in the last league match of their World Cup campaign. India will play this match against the Netherlands at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, November 12, where Kohli has a chance to surpass Sachin’s record for most ODI centuries.

Coming back to the bond of Kohli and Williamson, both the veterans had also played in the same edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, 15 years back in the year 2008 for India U-19 and New Zealand U-19, respectively.
