Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah, who retired at the age of 22 only to reverse his decision within 24 hours, claims he can get rid of Abhishek Sharma in three deliveries.
The Punjab opener scored the most runs against Pakistan in the just ended Asia Cup 2025, totaling 110 from three games. He hit Shaheen Shah Afridi to the boundaries on the opening ball in both the group and Super Four stage games.
Ihsanullah, who has never played against Sharma and has only appeared in four T20Is, made a bold claim, forgetting that the majority of Pakistan's bowlers failed to tackle Abhishek.
Sharma managed to register scores of 31, 74 and 5 against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. He unleashed his fury on the arch-rivals in the Super Fours clash on September 21 where he struck 6 fours and five sixes.
Ihsanullah claims he will dismiss Abhishek Sharma in three balls
In a video that has gone popular on social media, Ihsanullah claims Abhishek will be unable to confront him. The Pakistani bowler issued an unusual challenge, vowing to dismiss the batter in just three deliveries.
The bowler last appeared in a T20I in 2023, after which he was sidelined due to an elbow injury and a lack of playing time.
“If I play against India and get to bowl to Abhishek Sharma, he will not be able to hit me. I will only need 3 balls to dismiss him easily,” said the bowler in a viral video.
Abhishek Sharma made 314 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of nearing 200. He also scored three fifties and struck 32 fours and 19 sixes. Sharma suffered a rare defeat against Pakistan in the Asia Cup final, when he was removed for a single digit score.
