The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 will be played in India from September 30 onwards. This will be the third time India will host the ICC Women’s World Cup tournament and the first time since 2013. 28 league matches will be followed by 2 semi-finals and a final. Eight teams will feature in the tournament: India, Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.

The top 4 teams after league stages will qualify for the semi-finals, to be played on the 29th and 30th of October. The winner of these games will go on to lock horns in the Final Match on the 2nd of November, 2025. Let’s take a look at the four predicted semi-finalists for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.

Here are the predicted four semi-finalists in the ICC Women's World Cup 2025:

1. Australia Women

Seven-time ICC Women’s World Cup champions Australia will be the team to beat in this edition of the tournament in 2025. They are undoubtedly the most dominating side in the tournament’s history. With match-winning players in both the bowling and batting areas, their team continues to exhibit amazing depth. They recently were given a run for their money by India in the recent three-match series in India. Australia is a clear favorite to win because of their winning mentality, large tournament experience, and flexibility.

2. India Women

The Indian women’s team will be the favorites to win the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, being the co-hosts. They have been the finalists twice, in 2005 and 2017. While seasoned middle-order players provide much-needed consistency, their top order can bat explosively. The team possesses enough game-winners to make a difference in crucial situations, even though their warm-up results have been inconsistent. If India can sort their pace bowling properly and find consistency, India could turn into the most dangerous contender.

3. New Zealand Women

The New Zealand team, led by Sophie Devine, will be one of the leading contenders to win the ICC Women’s World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. They have arrived as one of the balanced teams, with experienced campaigners and youngsters. New Zealand has won the World Cup only once, and they will be eager to add to their list. With their seasoned leaders and all-around strength, New Zealand appears ready to go for a deep run this time.

4. South African Women

South Africa under Laura Woolvaardt is still becoming a dominant force in women's cricket, demonstrating their capacity to compete with the best in the world. In recent competitions, their dependable batting unit and disciplined pace attack have helped them weather tough times. The South Africa Women’s team is still vying for their first ICC championship, but their tenacity and willpower give them a serious possibility to go to the 2025 final.
