Notably, Mitchell Starc was bought by the two-time IPL champions, Kolkata Knight Riders for a huge amount of INR 24.75 crores; with this bid, he went on to become the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League in the 15-year-long history of the tournament since its inception in 2008.

Earlier a few days back, Harbhajan Singh was of a critical opinion while speaking about the team selection by Indian selectors following the team’s massive defeat against South Africa in the first Test. Harbhajan questioned the selectors for ignoring the veteran batters Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara from the Test squad.

Notably, India lost against South Africa by a huge margin of an innings and 32 runs in the first Test of the two-match series.

“Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara should have been part of the Test team. Pujara is like Virat Kohli and has won matches for India in Australia and England,” said Harbhajan Singh following the first-Test defeat against the Proteas.

Coming back to Mitchell Starc, he is currently in action for Australia in the ongoing three-match Test series against Pakistan. He has scalped 9 wickets so far in the 4 innings of the two Tests, he played in the series so far. He was quite impressive with the ball in the second innings of the Boxing Day Test, scalping 4 wickets, alongside skipper Pat Cummins’ five-wicket haul to beat Pakistan by a margin of 79 runs.
