The West Indies will tour India for two tests starting October 2. These two tests will be part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC 2025-27) cycle. India was last visited by the West Indies in 2002–2003.

Furthermore, the West Indies last triumphed over India in a Test series in 2002, winning 2-1 in a Caribbean series. Since then, India and the West Indies have had a prosperous run together, winning every series that has been played. India won the four-match series 2-0 during their 2016 Caribbean tour. The past 20 years haven't been good for the West Indies in any version of the game, even though they still have the best head-to-head record in Test matches (30 victories to India's 22).
