However, if South Africa suffers a heavy defeat and Afghanistan surpasses them on NRR, then Afghanistan will become India’s opponent.

If South Africa wins their match against England, they will finish as Group B winners, meaning India will face Australia in the semifinals.

If India Loses to New Zealand:

In this case, India will finish second in Group A. If South Africa loses to England, Australia will top Group B, and India will face them in the semifinals. However, if South Africa wins against England, they will top Group B and play against India in the semifinals.

With multiple possibilities still in play, all eyes will be on the upcoming Group A and Group B matches to determine India’s path forward in the tournament.
