IPL 2025: 3 Players who might be released by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Last year's Indian Premier League (IPL) season was incredible for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who advanced to the final for the first time since 2016. Even though they were unable to win the championship, their batting prowess during the tournament was astounding.

It was anticipated that SRH would run a similar campaign in the 2025 Indian Premier League, but the outcome has been terrible. Let's take a look at three players from Sunrisers Hyderabad who the team might release before the next IPL season, after they were ousted from the group stages of the current IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025.

1.

Rahul Chahar was purchased for 3.20 crore, and the spinner was anticipated to be a key member of the team this season due to his international background and previous IPL performances.

Zeeshan Ansari, a young leg-spinner from UP, was trusted by the management this season, and he performed decently, taking six wickets. Since Chahar only bowled six balls this season, there's a good likelihood that SRH will bench him following the 2025 Indian Premier League.

2. Ishan Kishan

Sunrisers Hyderabad purchased Ishan Kishan at the IPL 2025 mega auctions for an incredible Rs 11.25 crores. The pocket-dynamo scored an undefeated century against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on his debut for SRH, but he hasn't been able to maintain his momentum, managing just 90 runs in the next ten games.

In the final game, he performed admirably once more, but he struggled throughout the season. He may be freed in order to repurchase him at a likely reduced cost.

3. Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the IPL 2025 auction for an astounding Rs 10 crore. Known for his impeccable seam stance, he is one of India's most prolific pace bowlers. He has taken 133 wickets at an economy rate of 8.63 in 119 IPL games thus far.

But this season, the seasoned Indian bowler has been incredibly unimpressive with the ball, taking just 6 wickets in 9 games at a dismal economy rate of 11.23. After the IPL 2025 season, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) may think about releasing Shami because of his pay, form, and level of fitness.
