Lucknow Super Giants had a sorry state of affairs in the IPL 2025 season as they had to settle for the seventh rank in the standings with six wins and eight losses in the league stage, amassing 12 points.

The Rishabh Pant-led side started off their campaign with four wins in the first half of the season. On the other hand, they could win only two games in the second half, completely losing their plot and slipping down in the standings.

1. Mitchell Marsh

The former Delhi Capitals batter Mitchell Marsh found a new franchise in the Lucknow Super Giants after he was roped in at the whopping price of INR 3.4 Crore at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

While Marsh was part of the XI for the Capitals in only four games in IPL 2024, he was part of 13 games in IPL 2025 for the Giants, accumulating 627 runs from 13 innings to be in the orange cap race for the major part of the season. Moreover, he brought up his first century of the IPL.

2. Aiden Markram

The former Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Aiden Markram was roped in by the Lucknow Super Giants at the base price of INR 2 Crore in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. Interestingly, the South African was released by SRH after scoring 220 runs in 11 innings in IPL 2024.

While he had a poor IPL 2024 season, he turned the tables, racking up 445 runs from 13 innings at an average of 34.23 and a strike rate of 148.82 with five fifty-plus scores. However, his batting skills failed to take his side to the playoffs.

3. Digvesh Singh Rathi

Delhi leg-spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi is the find of the season for the Lucknow Super Giants as he scalped 14 wickets in 13 games at an average of 30.64 and an economy of 8.25. He was roped in by the LSG think tank team for the base price of INR 30 Lakh at the IPL 2025 Auction.

With a run-up similar to Sunil Narine, Rathi hogged the spotlight in the Delhi Premier League 2024 season, pocketing 14 wickets in 10 games at an economy of 7.83. Later, he made his debut for Delhi in SMAT 2024-25, picking up three wickets in two games.
