IPL 2025: Full list of matches at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai

One of India's most famous cricket stadiums is Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. For the Mumbai Indians (MI), it is more than just a place to play; it is a representation of triumph, passion, and emotion. It can accommodate about 33,000 people.

The Wankhede Stadium will host seven exciting matches in the 2025 Indian Premier League. In front of their home crowd, the Mumbai Indians, led by Hardik Pandya, take the field to continue their tradition with the first match at the ground being against the defending champs, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Next, Mumbai will play against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 7 in the 21st match of the season, against whom they have a pretty solid record at home as well as away. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) would then be the next opponents for the Men in Blue as they await a clash with them on April 17.

In the return leg of the tournament, it is time for El Clasico once again as Mumbai Indians will be taking on their arch-rivals and joint-most title winners, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). This match can well possibly be the most viewed game of the tournament this season.

Every year, one of the Mumbai games is scheduled in the afternoon at the Wankhede Ground which is then also mentioned to be the “ESA” game i.e. Education and Sports for All. 

This is an initiative championed by the team and supported by Relian Group where children from diverse backgrounds are brought to witness magic on the pitch. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be facing the brunt of the support of thousands of children towards their opponents on April 27.

May 6 will then witness Mumbai Indians taking on Gujarat Titans (GT), the previous team of the current skipper of Mumbai, Hardik Pandya. The last league game at the Wankhede for the Mumbai boys will come against their old rivals, Delhi Capitals (DC) on May 15.
