IPL 2025 to resume from May 17; Final scheduled on June 3

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday revealed the dates for the remainder of the IPL 2205 season. According to the new schedule, IPL 2025 will resume from May 17 and conclude on June 3.

BCCI, in its statement, disclosed that the IPL 2025 is all set to resume after the board and IPL Governing Council had brief talks with the government officials, security agencies, and all stakeholders involved.

According to the statement from the IPL officials, a total of 17 matches will be played across 6 venues, starting May 17, 2025, and ending the season with the final on June 3, 2025. The revised schedule includes two double-headers, which will be played on two Sundays. 

The playoffs are scheduled from May 29 to June 3. The venues for the playoff matches are yet to be announced and they will be announced later in due course.

“The BCCI takes this opportunity to once again salute the bravery and resilience of India’s armed forces, whose efforts have enabled the safe return of cricket. The Board reaffirms its commitment to national interest while ensuring the successful completion of the league,” the IPL statement read.
