Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all set to enter the upcoming IPL 2026 mini-auction as the current champions after winning their maiden IPL title in 2025. So far, they have retained 17 players, and with the remaining purse of Rs. 16.40 crore, they can fill a maximum of eight slots, including two overseas.
To strengthen both the batting and bowling departments, RCB are most likely to focus on all-rounders. The auction is going to take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on December 16, 2025.
Here are the 5 all-rounders RCB might target in the IPL 2026 mini-auction
1. Rachin Ravindra
New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra is a reliable batting all-rounder and is currently the 15th-ranked all-rounder in the ODI format. Along with his technically sound batting at the top or in the middle order, he offers left-arm orthodox spin.
Ravindra also has an emotional connection with Bengaluru as his father was born in the city and his grandparents still live there. Seeing him don the RCB jersey would be a special moment for both fans and Ravindra as he continues his IPL journey.
2. Cameron Green
Australian all-rounder Cameron Green had a previous stint with RCB during IPL 2024. That season, he scored 255 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 143.25 and picked up 10 wickets in 13 innings at an economy of 8.61.
With that past association, if RCB look for an experienced all-round option, Green becomes an obvious choice. He is currently part of the ongoing Ashes series against England in Australia.
3. Venkatesh Iyer
Venkatesh Iyer also fits the all-rounder category as he can bat at the top or in the middle order and deliver medium-pace overs in the middle. Last year, he made headlines when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought him for Rs. 23.75 crore and named him vice-captain.
But he had a disappointing season, scoring only 142 runs in seven innings and not bowling at all. He also missed a few late-season games due to a hand injury. Now, with improved fitness and steady domestic performances, Iyer should ideally be used as a proper all-rounder rather than just a specialist batter.
4. Wanindu Hasaranga
Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, like Green, has also previously played for RCB. He is currently ranked No. 8 among all-rounders in ODIs and No. 9 in T20Is. He represented RCB for three seasons (2021–2023), with the 2022 season being his standout year, taking 26 wickets in 16 matches at an economy of 7.54.
Considering his all-round quality and the success he had earlier with the franchise, RCB could be tempted to go for him again when his name appears at the auction table.
5. Rajvardhan Hangargekar
This young Indian bowling all-rounder could be a solid backup option for RCB. So far, Rajvardhan Hangargekar has played only two matches for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in three seasons, taking three wickets. For RCB, having an Indian all-rounder as backup would be a luxury for skipper Rajat Patidar and the team management.
