IPL 2026: RCB full squad after mini auction

In an attempt to bolster an already established team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru joined the IPL 2026 auction with a comparatively small budget of Rs 16.40 crore and eight spots to fill, including two positions abroad. 

After winning their first championship, the IPL 2025, RCB is coming off a memorable campaign. The team has managed to hold onto a solid set of players that are the foundation of their championship-winning squad. With the help of players like Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, and Tim David, Virat Kohli remains the focal point of the batting unit.

In the IPL 2026 auction, Cameron Green made the biggest splash, with KKR paying INR 25.20 crore for his services, making the Australian all-rounder, the third most expensive player in IPL history. Chennai Super Kings went all out for uncapped Indian talent, with Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma becoming the highest-priced uncapped players in IPL history.

RCB, on the other hand, were very wily with their picks, going for Venkatesh Iyer for Rs 7 crore, buying a much-needed Indian all-rounder. They added more fire-power, by adding New Zealand pacer Jacob Duffy for Rs 2 crore and uncapped left-arm fast bowler Mangesh Yadav for Rs 5.20 crore. This provides them cover for Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal for the IPL 2026. 

Furthermore, RCB added, Satvik Deswal, Kanishk Chouhan, Vihaan Malhotra and Vicky Ostwal, while England’s Vicky Ostwal got the nod for Rs 75 lakh. 

With these players, RCB looks set to defend their IPL title in the IPL 2026 tournament.
