Irani Cup 2025: Full Schedule, timings, squads and live streaming details

The much-prestigious Irani Cup is set to take place from October 1 to October 5 between Vidarbha and Rest of India. It is an annual event in the Indian domestic circuit where the Ranji Trophy winners of the previous season lock horns against the Rest of India squad picked by the Indian selectors.

Accordingly, Vidarbha won the Ranji Trophy during the 2024-25 season and they will now face the Rest of India team, led by Rajat Patidar. Clearly, this will be a cracker of the game over the course of five days.

The ROI squad comprises some of the best players in domestic cricket last season. Patidar is fast emerging as one of the better captains in the Indian cricket and will have the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhimanyu Easwaran in the batting department. Akash Deep who is likely to be a regular in India’s Test team now, is also part of the tea,m while the likes of Tanush Kotian and Khaleel Ahmed strengthen the ROI squad.

As for Vidarbha, they will be banking on a similar squad that won them the Ranji Trophy title last year. Akshay Wadkar is their inspirational captain and turn things around from behind the stumps and with the bat too. They also have a spin bowling all-rounder in Harsh Dubey who can deliver a match-winning spell out of nowhere.
