Ireland vs England T20I Series 2025: Full schedule, timings, squads and live streaming details

England’s tour of Ireland is all set to begin on September 17, 2025. A three-match T20I series will be played between these sides and all the matches are going to take place in Dublin (Malahide). However, England will be captained by Jacob Bethell. Their regular skipper, Harry Brook, has been rested for this series.

Regarding Bethell’s appointment, as quoted in a statement from England Cricket, England men's selector Luke Wright said: “Jacob Bethell has impressed with his leadership qualities ever since he has been with the England squads and the series against Ireland will provide him with the opportunity to further develop those skills on the international stage.”

Meanwhile, Bethell is all set to become the youngest England captain at 21 years of age. England are coming off after playing against South Africa in a three-match T20I series at home which ended 1-1. After losing the first T20I, England smashed a record-breaking 304/2 in the second T20I and, by winning it, made it 1-1. The series decider was abandoned due to rain in Nottingham.

Eyes will be on players like Jordan Cox and Scott Currie. Cox was recently named the Player of the Tournament in the 2025 men’s Hundred. Currie has been added to the squad as an injury replacement for Saqib Mahmood.

For the home side, Ireland, Paul Stirling will lead the team. In the Ireland squad, an interesting name is Ben Calitz, who has earned his maiden call-up. Calitz used to play for Canada at the U-19 level. Interestingly, some significant names like Mark Adair, Josh Little, and Fionn Hand are missing the series due to injuries.
