Since the last one-month Indian wicket keeper batter Ishan Kishan has been on the news headline as he took a midway break from the South Africa series. Ishan Kishan break from cricket was supported by the Indian Cricket Board as he was getting lack of game time.

India’s head coach Rahul Dravid has stated that to comeback on the national team Ishan Kishan must play form of cricket. Ishan Kishan has withdrawn his name from Ranji Trophy squad as he is doing training of his own. Due to this act of Ishan Kishan, it has led to speculation on his future with Indian cricket.

Ishan Kishan is placed in Grade C contract which makes him to earn Rs. 1 crore. Indian Cricket Board has sent a warning to players to play in Ranji Trophy before the IPL gets started. As Jharkhand last league game is against Rajasthan the Indian Cricket Board has informed him to play or else, he would terminate from his central contract. However, there are no discussion have yet taken place for the topic of Ishan Kishan.

T20 World Cup starts from 1st June 2024

India’s core players will be IPL which will start from 22nd March and will get over by 26th May. Before the ICC T20 World Cup Indian players are under heavy work load. The ICC World Cup is going to start from 1st June. While India will play 1st match against Ireland on 5th June in New York.

Meanwhile it comes as understanding that no IPL franchises should give Indian players instruction about the workload during the IPL who are paying top prices to star Indian players.

"They are being paid highly and they can't pick and choose games for franchises. But yes, for all those centrally contracted and targetted players (next lot), the franchise's support staff will have to regularly provide fitness update to the NCA Sports Science head Nitin Patel," an official told PTI. 

Indian Cricket Board may send the players to New York whose teams didn’t qualify in the IPL play-offs. While others players whose teams are in play-offs will join them after the IPL gets over.
