Ishan Kishan returns to cricket, plays in DY Patil T20 Cup

Ishan Kishan has played competitive cricket since his absence from India’s tour of South Africa. He participates in the DY Patil T20 Cup. On 27th February Ishan Kishan played against Route Mobile Limited for RBI in DY Patil University Grounds in Navi Mumbai. Ishan Kishan was seen keeping behind the stumps for RBI. He played alongside Amit Mishra, Ankit Rajpoot, Shahbaz Nadeem Riyan Parag and Dhruv Shorey.

Ishan Kishan played for India in the T20I series against Australia. He left India camp in a South Africa tour causing mental fatigue. Ishan Kishan made himself unavailable for the five-match Test series against England. While he did not feature in any of the Ranji Trophy matches for his state team.

Hardik Pandya makes his comeback

Instead of playing Ranji Trophy matches for his state team he was seen doing practising with Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya for IPL 2024. Though Indian Cricket Board secretary Jay Shah issued a warning regarding players who are not showing in Ranji Trophy games. However, Rahul Dravid has stated that to come to India set-up he must play some form of cricket.

While Ishan Kishan is set to play for Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL 2024. With the T20 World Cup coming around he looks to perform well in the upcoming IPL season to book his place in the India squad for T20 World Cup. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya also made a comeback in cricket. He played for Reliance 1 against Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in the ongoing DY Patil T20 Cup. After recovering form his injury Hardik Pandya batted and bowled in the match as he is getting ready for IPL 2024 season. He will led Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024.
