The Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2025 is set to make its comeback for the second season, running from August 21 to September 7, 2025. The tournament was officially announced on August 8 through a promotional film released by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), featuring Mohanlal and Shaji Kailas.
In a major highlight for the league, Kerala’s star cricketer Sanju Samson will participate in the KCL for the first time. Samson has joined the Kochi Blue Tigers, who secured his services for INR 26.80 lakhs during the player auction, adding significant star power to the competition.
The other five teams competing this season are Alleppey Ripples, Trivandrum Royals, Aries Kollam Sailors, Calicut Globstars, and Thrissur Titans.
The tournament will be played in a double-league format, where each side faces the other five teams twice. Following the league stage, the top four teams will qualify for the knockout phase. The grand final of KCL 2025 will take place in Thiruvananthapuram on September 7.

For the Kerala Cricket League 2025, the KCA has selected Star Sports Network to serve as the official broadcaster. The Star Sports 1 station will carry live coverage of the KCL 2025.

The Kerala Cricket League 2025 will be played from August 22 to September 7, 2025, with six teams—Kochi Blue Tigers, Alleppey Ripples, Trivandrum Royals, Aries Kollam Sailors, Calicut Globstars, and Thrissur Titans—taking part.
The playoffs will be played on September 5, and the final will take place on September 7. All of the matches will be played at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
