Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is celebrating his 30th birthday today; he is currently in action with Team India in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. He was also a part of the Indian team, which clinched the eighth Asia Cup title after winning Asia Cup 2023 before the commencement of the ODI World Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya also attracted social media headlines for his birthday celebrations just before India’s second match of the ODI World Cup 2023, against Afghanistan. The Baroda cricketer celebrated his special day with the former Indian opener currently the commentator, Gautam Gambhir at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, in Delhi.

Hardik Pandya starts with brilliant bowling against Afghanistan

Hardik Pandya has bowled brilliantly in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan, in Delhi. He has scalped 1 wicket at the cost of just 16 runs in his 4 overs so far.

Speaking of the action of the Match, the Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Afghanistan have scored 119 runs for the loss of 3 wickets so far in 26.1 overs, having skipper Shahidi and middle-order batter Azmatullah Omarzai there in there in the middle on the individual scores of 27 and 28 runs, respectively.

Notably, India are coming off with a convincing win over the five-time World Cup champions, Australia in their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign opener. The hosts won the match by 6 wickets courtesy of brilliant knocks of 97* and 85 runs from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, respectively. On the other hand, Afghanistan lost their first match against Bangladesh by 6 wickets.

Following this match, India will take on their arch-rivals, Pakistan in the big clash on Saturday, October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
