Major League Cricket - MLC Winners list from 2023 to 2025

A professional T20 cricket league called Major League Cricket (MLC) was established in the US to bring the sport to a wider audience in North America. Every season, the league offers spectators top-notch cricket action with a blend of rising local talent and foreign stars.

2023 - MI New York

No one knew what to anticipate from the first season of the MLC, yet the recently established league succeeded spectacularly. The IPL's Mumbai Indians team owns MI New York, which defeated the Seattle Orcas in the championship game to win the first season.

Nicholas Pooran, the captain of New York, came out firing, with a difficult total to chase as Orcas gave them a target of 184. With 4 overs remaining, the wicketkeeper won the title for MI New York by himself, smashing an undefeated 137 off 55 balls.

2024 - Freedom in Washington

Washington Freedom fared much better in 2024, finishing first in the standings with 11 points from 5 victories, 1 defeat, and one rain-abated game.

On July 29, they played their final game against the San Francisco Unicorns. Washington batted first and scored 207 runs. A just 111 runs, then bowled out the San Francisco Unicorns. The Washington Freedom won the title in 2024 thanks to three wickets apiece from Marco Jansen and Rachin Ravindra.

2025 - MI New York

In 2025, MI New York won another championship. After a terrible start, Nicholas Pooran guided MI New York to its second championship in as few as three seasons.

At one point, MINY had just one victory in seven games, placing them at the bottom of the table. However, they had a few strong games toward the conclusion of the league season, and their improved NRR allowed them to go to the playoffs.

Rushil Ugarkar helped the team win their second MLC title in a close final, defeating the Washington Freedom by a mere five runs.
