Promising young Indian batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has disclosed that his father is never satisfied with him, even if he smacks a double century. Notably, the young Indian top-order batter smacked the joint-fastest T20 hundred by an Indian for India A against the UAE in the ongoing ACC Men’s Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025.

Interestingly, he took only 32 balls to complete his century, equalling Rishabh Pant's feat from 2018 while playing for Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He scored a breathtaking knock of 144 (42), hitting 11 fours and 15 sixes, as India A posted a huge total of 297 in 20 overs.

In an exclusive video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on its social platforms, Vaibhav asserted that he doesn’t do anything extraordinary, but he tries to focus on what he has practiced since his childhood.

"My father is never satisfied with my performance, even if I score 200 runs; he would still say I could have made ten more. But my mother is always happy after seeing me bat whether I score a hundred or even a duck, she just says, "Keep doing well"," said Suryavanshi in the video shared by BCCI.

"I don't try to do anything extraordinary. I just focus on what I have practised since childhood, the hard work I've put in, and I try to bring that into my game on the field. If I try to do something different that isn't part of my game, it won't benefit the team, and personally, it won't help me either. If I had stayed a little longer, maybe my score could have gone to 20 or 30 more runs, and I might have set a personal record," he added.

Suryavanshi was also adjudged Player of the Match for propelling India A to a 148-run victory. India A will next lock horns with Pakistan A in their second game of the Rising Stars Asia Cup.
