Nepal Premier League 2025 auction: Team-wise players bought and squad lists

On Saturday, August 9, the 2025 Nepal Premier League player auction was held. Here are complete team lists and a list of all players who have been sold and unsold.

Each team kept six to seven players from the previous season, and the mini-auction was held on Saturday in advance of the tournament's second season, which is scheduled for later this year.

Arjun Saud (Chitwan Rhinos), Dev Khanal (Chitwan Rhinos), Pawan Sarraf (Karnali Yaks), and Mohammad Aadil Alam (Kathmandu Gorkhas) were the top bidders at the auction, each taking home 15 lakh rupees.

Sher Malla (Lumbini Lions), Yuvraj Khatri (Karnali Yaks), Santosh Yadav (Kathmandu Gorkhas), Hemant Dhami (Sudurpaschim Royals), Surya Tamang (Biratnagar Kings), and Dilip Nath (Lumbini Lions) all received deals totaling 10 lakh rupees.

Janakpur Bolts

Janakpur had retained seven players from the previous campaign, including their captain and star player. Star players Aasif Sheikh, captain Anil Sah, Kishore Mahato, Subash Khakurel, Lalit Rajbanshi, Tul Bahadur Thapa Magar, and Rupesh Singh were among the players kept.

Signed at auction: Mayan Yadav (7.75 lakh), Sachin Bhatta (2 lakh), Aaditya Mahata (5 lakh), and Bikash Aagri (5 lakh).

Kathmandu Gorkhas

After finishing sixth in the first edition, Kathmandu retained star player and captain Karan KC, as well as Bhim Sharki, Dipesh Kandel, Shahab Alam, Pratik Shrestha, and Rashid Khan.

Signed at auction: Mohamad Aadil Alam (15 lakh), Aakash Tripathi (7 lakh), Santosh Yadav (10 lakh), Uttam Rangu Thapa Magar (3 lakh), and Tul Bahadur Thapa (2 lakh).

Karnali Yaks

Karnali Yaks, last season's third-place squad that advanced to the second round, retained headliner Sompal Kami, as well as Gulshan Jha, Nandan Yadav, Arjun Gharti, Dipendra Rawat, Bipin Prasad Sharma, and Unish Bikram Singh Thakuri.

Chitwan Rhinos

Chitwan, who placed fourth after losing to Karnali Yaks in the first edition's eliminator, retained marquee player and captain Kushal Malla, as well as Rijan Dhakal, Kamal Singh Airee, Deepak Bohara, Amar Singh Routela, and Gautam KC.

Sudurpaschim Royals

Sudurpaschim, the runners-up from the previous season, kept skipper Dipendra Singh Airee as their star player. He was accompanied by the retention of Binod Bhandari, Aarif Sheikh, Avinash Bohara, Ishan Pandey, and Naren Saud.

Signed at auction: Dipak Bohara (5 lakh), Hemant Dhami (10 lakh), Milan Bohara (5 lakh), Tek Bahadur Rawat (2 lakh), Dipendra Thapa (2 lakh).

Lumbini Lions

Along with Sundeep Jora, Bibek Yadav, Tilak Raj Bhandari, Abhishek Gautam, and Dinesh Adhikari, Lumbini kept captain and star player Rohit Paudel from the previous campaign.

Biratnagar Kings

Star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, Lokesh Bam, Pratish GC, Basir Ahmed, Naren Bhatt, and Subash Bhandari were all retained by Biratnagar, who placed sixth in the inaugural season.

Signed at auction: Surya Tamang (10 lakh), Narayan Joshi (5 lakh), Sahil Patel (5 lakh), Shankar Rana (5 lakh), and Sharwan Kisku (2 lakh).

Pokhara Avengers

In addition to seven players (Dinesh Kharel, Bipin Khatri, Sagar Dhakal, Kiran Thagunna, Akash Chand, and Tritraj Das), Pokhara kept their star player, Kushal Bhurtel.
