New Zealand will host Australia for a short three-match T20I series, starting from October 1. The three matches will be played in just four days and will be an important series, keeping the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind.

Australia have named a full-strength squad for the tour with the likes of Travis Head, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell and Josh Hazlewood being part and will be led by Mitchell Marsh. Mitchell Starc has already retired from the format and Pat Cummins is injured, aiming to get fit in time for the Ashes in November.

As for New Zealand, they are troubled with injury issues to their key players. Their captain Mitchell Santner is ruled out of this series along with other senior players like Finn Allen, Adam Milne, Will O’Rourke, Glenn Phillips and Lockie Ferguson who are injured too. Meanwhile, Kane Wiliamson has made himself unavailable for the series.
