Former England cricketers Michael Vaughan, Alastair Cook, Phil Tufnell, and David Lloyd, in an exclusive discussion on the Overlap Cricket YouTube Podcast, discussed India’s recent on-field domination over their arch-rivals, Pakistan.

Tuffnell, while speaking in the discussion, started off by stating that Pakistan is no match for India at the moment. Notably, Pakistan suffered a 61-run defeat to India in the group stage encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 campaign on Sunday, February 15.

“Dare I say it, Pakistan against India, that’s a mismatch, isn’t it," Tufnell said.

“I mean it look to me that way. It seems to me every time Pakistan play India they look intimidated by India on a cricket field," Vaughan said.

Later, the conversation among the former England cricketers soon shifted to the handshake row. Notably, Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, decided not to shake hands with Pakistani players in the recently concluded group stage clash. Vaughan and Cook shared their views on the same episode.

“That whole situation is sour, isn’t it? You know, it is just sad. Not shaking hands on a cricket field," Vaughan stated.

“But aren’t they talking behind closed doors? I read somewhere that everyone’s just chatting away. It like, it is only for show, isn’t it? On the actual field, they are not shaking hands, but then behind closed doors, they are all talking and are all fine," Cook said.
