Hardik Pandya has continuously been in the headlines of both social and mainstream media as he got traded to Mumbai Indians within hours of getting retained by Gujarat Titans.

In a dramatic turnaround of events, the ‘Hardik Pandya’ tug-of-war is still on between Gujarat Titans and the five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians. Earlier in the last day of retention i.e., on Sunday, November 26, Gujarat Titans went on to put a rest on the rumours of Hardik Pandya moving to Mumbai Indians by retaining him for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

But within a time period of two hours, fans were left in shock as Hardik Pandya got traded to Mumbai Indians in a completely all-cash trade between two franchises. This shocking line of events also attracted a lot of reactions from cricket fans; fans came up with a lot of divided reactions after this immediate change in things between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans.

“Cricbuzz can confirm that the deal has been signed by the franchises involved -- Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans - on Sunday (November 26), the final day of the player releases and retentions ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. As reported previously, it is an all-cash deal and therefore no player has moved in the opposite direction,” reads a report in Cricbuzz.

“According to sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and IPL, formal approval has been given for the trade, which involves only cash transactions although details of the value of the trade are not yet clear. The 30-year-old all-rounder's league fee for the year is INR 15 crore,” the report adds further.

Released Players - Yash Dayal, KS Bharat, Shivam Dubey, Urvil Patel, Preadeep Sangwan, Odean Smith, Alzarri Joseph, and Dasun Shanaka.
