“Pakistan has an advantage” - Yuvraj Singh reveals his favorites for India vs Pakistan match

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has stated that Pakistan will have an advantage while facing India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 fixture in Dubai on Sunday, February 23. He has asserted that Pakistan has a base in Dubai and they have enough experience of playing on these surfaces.

Interestingly, Pakistan has a head-to-head record of a 3-2 lead against India in the ICC Champions Trophy clashes. Their most recent win in this event came against India in the Champions Trophy 2017 final.

"I actually think Pakistan has an advantage because they have a base in Dubai. They have played a lot of cricket there and understand the conditions well,” Yuvraj Singh told on JioHotstar's 'Greatest Rivalry Returns' show.

The former all-rounder also added that while India has more match-winners compared to Pakistan, it is all about playing in the moment and situation of the game and not more about match winners.

"You talk about match-winners--yes, I agree with Shahid Afridi that we have more match-winners. But I believe that even if Pakistan has fewer match-winners, one player can still take the game away. The India-Pakistan clash is not about match-winners alone; it's about playing in the moment, adapting to the situation, and not letting expectations overwhelm you. The team that does this better will win the game for their country," he added.
