The match between India and Pakistan on Sunday (September 14) was a one-sided affair with Suryakumar Yadav and his men winning easily. However, the real drama started after the encounter with the Indian players avoiding handshakes with the opposition team and that didn’t go down well with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

PCB took a strict stance accusing match referee Andy Pycroft of siding with India in the handshake controversy and demanded to remove him from the Asia Cup. They also, for a moment, decided to boycott the match against the UAE but ended up eventually playing and winning the clash.

However, a senior Pakistan journalist Waheed Khan has launched a staunch criticism of PCB on his Youtube channel. Interestingly, he revealed that the Pakistan team and the PCB were aware that the Indian team won’t be shaking hands with them even before the match.

“Kidhar gaya demand Andy Pycroft ko nikalne ka, usko Pakistan ke match se bhi nahi nikala. Aap badi badi baate kyu karte ho yaar, inko sab pata tha, toss me pata chal gaya tha, match ke pehle pata chal gaya tha ki India ke team handshake nahi karne wali aapse yaar phit bhi match ke baad jaa rahe hai handshake karne,” Waheed said.

Despite boycott drama Andy Pycroft officiates in PAK vs UAE match

Pakistan created all the boycott drama to remove Andy Pycroft at least from their match against the UAE. However, ICC didn’t pay heed to their demand and Pycroft ended up officiating the clash, even though the match started an hour late, at 9 PM IST. Waheed wasn’t happy that the board created all the drama just before the match, leaving the team unsettled.

“Tumhne Drama he karna hai na yaar, match ke pehle toh drama mat karo yaar. Kya nikla end me? Bewkoof banane ke liye ek press release kar di, ek video daali Andy Pycroft ke saath jiski koi audio nahi thi.Woh Salman Ali agha se, manager se, woh Waseem bichara Pakistani hai yoh usko istamaal kiya hoga. Usne kaha ke mujhse misunderstanding hogayi, matlab India ke against Toss ke waqt mujhse galti hogayi,” he added.

The IND vs PAK drama might not have just ended in the Asia Cup as the arch-rivals are set to face each other in the Super Four round again on Sunday (September 21).
