PCB announces Pakistan’s T20I and ODI squads for West Indies tour

On Friday, July 25, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the limited-overs squads for the upcoming West Indies tour, scheduled to start on Thursday, July 31. Interestingly, veteran pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi made his comeback after being snubbed from the Bangladesh tour.

Moreover, Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali also returned to the T20I squad, with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan not part of the squad. However, the veteran batting duo of Babar and Rizwan continues to be part of the ODI set-up.

While Salman Ali Agha continues to lead the T20I squad, Rizwan will be the skipper for the 50-over team. On the other hand, Hasan Nawaz is the only uncapped player part of the 16-member ODI squad.

It’s important to note that Pakistan is coming into this series after losing the three-match T20I series to Bangladesh away from home by 1-2.
