Preity Zinta fumes after morphed image of her hugging Vaibhav Suryavanshi goes viral

Actress Preity Zinta is upset about altered photos of herself with 14-year-old phenomenon Vaibhav Suryavanshi that are circulating on social media. In response, she expressed surprise at how easily people are falling for it.  

Images and videos of Vaibhav meeting Punjab Kings co-owner Preity in Jaipur surfaced on social media on Monday. The actor is seen talking to him and then giving him a hug in the aforementioned footage. The video was purportedly taken at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

However, India Today Fact Check discovered that although Zinta shook hands with Suryavanshi in the stadium, the widely shared image of the two hugging is phony and was probably produced with artificial intelligence (AI) techniques.

" This is a morphed image and fake news. Am so surprised now news channels are also using morphed images and featuring them as news items," Preity commented when reposting a news article about her hugging Vaibhav.

It is significant to remember that the official RR handle on X released the initial video of the encounter. Although there is no film of an embrace, the video, which is captioned "Flex levels at school: Vaibhav Suryavanshi," definitely depicts Preity Zinta and Vaibhav having a brief but courteous conversation.

Preity and RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had a brief conversation at the start of the video.  She goes over to PBKS player Shashank Singh and says she wants to see Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young cricket star.  

Next, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is introduced to her. They shake hands, say a few words, and greet each other in the short video.
