R Sai Kishore set to play for Surrey in County Championship 2025

Tamil Nadu spinner R Sai Kishore is all set to represent Surrey County Cricket Club in the ongoing County Championship 2025 season. The Indian spinner will be available to represent the County in two first-class games in July 2025.

While his first game is against Yorkshire at North Marine Road Ground in Scarborough, starting on Tuesday, July 22, he will go up against the Maharashtra and Chennai Super Kings batter Ruturaj Gaikwad, who will represent Yorkshire.

Later, he will also take part in Surrey against Durham at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street, starting on Tuesday, July 29. Talking about his stint, Kishore stated that he is excited and honoured to be a part of one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.

“I’m really excited to be joining Surrey for the next two County Championship matches. Surrey are one of the most prestigious clubs in the world and I have heard great things about the set-up from lots of different people in the game,” said Kishore in a statement.

Furthermore, Surrey High Performance Advisor Alec Stewart also shared a few words on the new signing, welcoming the spinner, adding that his four-day record and leadership experience will be an advantage for the group.

“I’m delighted to bring the highly rated Sai Kishore into our squad for the next two Kookaburra games. All the reports I have received from people I respect in the Indian game have spoken highly of him. His four-day record for Tamil Nadu is very good, and he brings leadership experience to the group,” said Alec Stewart in a statement.

Moving into the details of his first-class record, Kishore has played 46 matches in his career and has pocketed 192 wickets at an average of 23.51 with 12 five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul to his name.
