Rishabh Pant IPL 2025 Salary: How Much Does He Earn After Tax Deductions?

Rishabh Pant created history at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction table. He was sold for a price of INR 27 crore and became the most expensive player in the IPL auction. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spent this humongous amount to get the services of Pant. LSG broke the Punjab Kings (PBKS)’ record as they spent INR 26.75 crore for Shreyas Iyer.

The LSG had released KL Rahul from their squad before the mega auction and came in the mega auction in need of a captain. Pant is highly likely to serve this role for the Sanjiv Goenka-owned team.

The bidding war for Pant was started by the LSG and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) joined the process after the RCB opted to exit from the bidding. Both the teams took the price to INR 20.75 crore, after which SRH decided to drop from the process.

The ball was in Delhi Capitals (DC) court as they had the Right to Match (RTM) card with them, and they decided to use the card. The auctioneer asked LSG to raise their final bid, and LSG decided to raise their bid from INR 20.75 crore to INR 27 crore. DC decided not to match the bid, and LSG made history at the auction table.

After tax deductions, how much money will Rishabh Pant get from his IPL 2025 salary?

Pant was signed by LSG for a whopping amount of INR 27 crore for three seasons. The Income tax department will deduct INR 8.1 crore as tax from Pan’t salary; hence, his net salary will be INR 18.9 crore per season.

IPL 2025 is scheduled to start on March 14, and the final will be played on May 25. The IPL governing council has announced the dates for the next three seasons already. Next year, in 2026, the IPL will start on March 15 and it will conclude on May 31. The 2027 edition will be played from March 14 to May 30.
