‘Do you think the public is a fool?’ - Sanjay Raut shares a video of the handshake to create another controversy with the tweet

Sanjay Raut, the leader of the Shiv Sena, has once again spoken against the country's agenda. Raut is well-known for criticising the government for everything, regardless of whether it affects the sentiments of millions of Indians. He has often been seen marking comments which has been against the notion of the nation just for some attention in the media.

The whole nation was celebrating team India’s victory over Pakistan in the finals, and they were supporting the team’s decision of not receiving the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, who is not just PCB Chairman & ACC Chief but an interior minister with the government of Pakistan. At such a crucial time, Sanjay Raut has decided to create a controversy and commotion by bringing up the handshake video from before the start of the tournament. 

The Indian cricket team was accused on Monday of causing "drama" by declining to take the Asia Cup trophy from ACC president Mohsin Naqvi following their victory over Pakistan. Raut also posted a video of India captain Suryakumar Yadav welcoming Naqvi, shaking hands, and posing for a photo before to the Asia Cup.

"At the start of the series, 15 days ago, he shook hands and clicked photos with Pakistan's minister. Now they are showing the country a drama of patriotism. If nationalism truly flowed in their blood, they should not have stepped onto the field against Pakistan," Raut posted in Hindi on X.

Speaking about the Asia Cup final controversy after India refused to accept the trophy from Naqvi, Raut further said, “You did not take the trophy from the PCB chief Naqvi, but I shared a video which shows the Indian captain shaking hands with them, having a tea and clicking pictures. Do you think the public is a fool?”

However, in his rush to criticise the team India and government for the same, he forgot that the team decided not to shake hands with people representing Pakistan in the tournament after the pre-tournament conference. The citizens of India had displayed their upset emotion when it happened, and the team decided not to go forward in that direction anymore after that.
