“I really love the way he plays, fearless” - Suresh Raina reveals who can replace his fearless brand of cricket

Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has revealed that the Indian opener batter Abhishek Sharma is the batter who has the capability to replicate his fearless playing style in the current set-up.

Notably, Abhishek had an exceptional IPL 2024 season for the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise and later went on to make his India debut, scoring an impressive century in his second game for Team India with his explosive approach with the willow.

Speaking exclusively on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, Raina has stated that former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has trained Abhishek a lot and he loves the way he plays a fearless brand of cricket.

Furthermore, Raina also picked the Punjab Kings opening batter Priyansh Arya and Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for their exceptional gameplay. While Arya had an exceptional IPL 2025 season, Jaiswal has been scoring centuries across the globe.

"Abhishek Sharma. I really love the way he plays, fearless. Yuvi pa has trained him a lot. I think Priyansh Arya can also be a very dominating player. However, I feel Yashasvi Jaiswal has a different work ethic. There is a fighting spirit. He scored a hundred in Australia and England. His game awareness is very good," Raina said on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel.

Notably, Priyansh amassed 475 runs in the IPL 2025 season from 17 innings at a strike rate of 179.25. On the other hand, Jaiswal failed to make it to the Indian T20I squad for the Asia Cup 2025 campaign. However, he is part of the standby players’ list.
