Sweden and France are set to feature in the Viking Cup 2025, which begins tomorrow, August 7, in Stockholm. But before the tournament officially kicks off, the two sides will face off in a standalone T20 International on the same day. This match is scheduled to take place at 1:30 PM IST at Botkyrka Cricket Center 2.

France have played just three T20Is so far in 2025 and are still searching for their first win, having lost all three. Sweden, too, have featured in three T20Is this year, managing one victory while losing the other two. This encounter will mark the first-ever T20I meeting between Sweden and France.

Looking at their overall records, France have played 31 T20 Internationals, winning 15, losing 15, with one match ending in a tie. Sweden, meanwhile, have faced challenges in the T20 format. Out of their 28 matches, they have secured 11 wins, suffered 16 losses, and had one game finish as a tie.

Following the one-off T20I, Sweden and France will officially kick off their Viking Cup 2025 campaigns by going head-to-head once again at the Botkyrka Cricket Center in Stockholm. The action will continue on August 8, with Sweden set to take on Austria and France scheduled to play against Norway. On August 9, Sweden will be up against Norway, while France will clash with Austria. 

The final of the tournament is scheduled to take place on 10 August.
