T20 WC 2026: ICC announces warm-up fixtures; India to lock horns with South Africa

On Tuesday, January 27, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that India will lock horns with South Africa in their lone warm-up game ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 campaign at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday, February 4.

Interestingly, while India A will play two warm-up games, India is scheduled to play only one warm-up fixture. Notably, India A will take on the United States of America and Namibia on Monday, February 2, and Friday, February 6, respectively.

Meanwhile, Pakistan, led by Salman Agha, will also play only one warm-up match against Ireland on Wednesday, February 4, in Colombo. England and Australia will not be playing any warm-up matches as both sides will play bilateral series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, respectively.

On the other hand, Scotland, which replaced Bangladesh in the showpiece event, will play two warm-up matches against Afghanistan on Monday, February 2, and against Namibia on Wednesday, February 4.
