Virat Kohli blasted by fans on social media as he registers second consecutive duck in Australia ODI series

Virat Kohli was dismissed by Xavier Bartlett for a duck in the second ODI between Australia and India being played at the Adelaide Oval on October 23, 2025. This was the first time in his ODI career that Virat Kohli registered back-to-back ducks.

The renowned batsman failed to score a run on this tour after being removed for nothing by Mitch Starc in the first ODI and being turned into his archenemy by Xavier Bartlett in the second ODI.

The Indian great failed to deliver the runs on what may have been his final ODI tour in Australia because he lacked the cutting edge and appeared rusty as the Australian bowlers stopped him from collecting runs.

Virat Kohli trolled on social media for getting out for consecutive ducks in Australia ODIs

Virat Kohli returned to the Indian team after a break of seven months. He had last played for Men in Blue in the ICC Champions Trophy and had scored a century against Pakistan and a match-winning 84 against Australia in the semi-finals. After that, he played in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), winning the trophy.

Meanwhile, Kohli has shifted base from Delhi to London with his family and has not been playing cricket in the meantime. He looked rusty even in nets, getting out, edging the ball to slips, and the same thing happened in the first ODI, where he played 8 balls and got out edging one to the slips.

In the second ODI, he was beaten by a delivery that came in and Kohli was trapped LBW right in front of the stumps.
