Virat Kohli makes fun of a fan wearing a CSK jersey in his restaurant

On the field, Virat Kohli may be a fiery personality, but off it, he knows how to keep things light. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) veteran recently gave fans an experience they won't soon forget when he visited his own One8 Commune eatery in Bengaluru with colleagues Tim David and Phil Salt, among others.

Even though Kohli joked about it with the CSK shirt, RCB ended up winning the game. Bengaluru defeated Chennai by an overwhelming 50 runs at Chepauk, which is quite an accomplishment given that it was their first victory there in 17 years. With two victories in two games, RCB is comfortably atop the IPL 2025 points standings.

Kohli remained unbeaten on 59 as RCB defeated KKR soundly in the IPL 2025 opening game and then made 31 runs against rivals Chennai Super Kings in MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where RCB won by 6 runs.

Virat Kohli makes fun of CSK fans for wearing yellow jerseys in his restaurant

Along with Phil Salt, Tim David, and numerous other RCB teammates, Virat Kohli entered his One9 communal restaurant in Bengaluru.

With his keen eye, Virat Kohli spotted two supporters loitering close by as he walked inside the restaurant. One was wearing an RCB jersey with Kohli's name on it, while the other was wearing a CSK jersey with MS Dhoni's name on it.

Without wasting a beat, Kohli responded with his trademark smirk while cheekily pointing to the CSK fan's jersey. Even the CSK supporter couldn't contain their laughter, nor could the fans or spectators. After being captured on camera, the incident went viral on social media.

Virat Kohli to be retained in Grade A along with Rohit Sharma in BCCI central contracts

For 2025–2026, India's top players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, are expected to remain on the A+ grade BCCI central contract list.

Even though Virat and Rohit have retired from the T20I format, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants to keep them on the A contract, which will earn them Rs 7 crore. After winning the T20 World Cup last year, breaking India's ICC trophy drought, Rohit and Virat had their final dance in the format.

"Rohit and Virat will continue their A+ grade central contract (7 crore) even after retiring from the T20I format. They are big players and will be accorded the respect they deserve. Shreyas Iyer is all set to be back on a central contract," BCCI sources told ANI.

Virat only managed to score 190 runs in 10 innings during India's 1-3 loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25.

With a century and two fifties, Virat finished 2024 with 655 international runs in 23 games and 32 innings at an average of 21.83. His highest rating was 100*.
