Virat Kohli has called his Royal Challengers Bengaluru teammate Swastik Chikkara someone who is annoying, and he wouldn’t like to share a room with. Kohli mentioned the same during a fun interaction with RCB fans amidst the ongoing IPL 2025.
In the current IPL 2025, which is also his first season in the league, young batter Swastik Chikara has been having a great time with Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The cricket player has publicly stated that he views India international and RCB player Virat Kohli as his older brother and enjoys spending time with the renowned batsman.
“He doesn’t leave me alone”—Virat Kohli on Swastik Chikkara
India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batsman Virat Kohli joked at a promotional event on Friday, May 2, that he would prefer to get to know Jitesh Sharma better than live with Swastik Chikara.
Chikara, who has not yet participated in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match for RCB, is a huge admirer of Kohli and views him as his older brother.
Kohli was recently asked, “Which RCB cricketer would he prefer and not prefer to have as a roommate while traveling?”
To which, the star batter replied, "I wouldn't say it's Swastik Chikara. Because he doesn't leave me alone, so, definitely not him.”
I would like to get to know more about Jitesh Sharma: Virat Kohli
However, the 36-year-old stated that stumper-batter Jitesh Sharma is a pretty humorous person with whom he would not mind sharing a room. Virat believes that Jitesh hasn't yet opened up to him, but he seemed to be pleased by the Vidarbha cricketer's street smarts on the field.
“But one guy I think is really funny, but he's not opened up with me properly, is Jitesh (Sharma). I would want to see that really fun, raw side of him because I can see it in his eyes; he's got that mischief about him. He's very street smart; you can see on the field he finds different ways of looking at things. So, I would like to get to know him more,” Kohli said.
